Our services are designed for both 500 GT+ yachts subject to mandatory ISM compliance and smaller yachts seeking voluntary, best-practice safety and governance standards, providing consistency, assurance, and long-term asset protection across the fleet.

ISM, Safety & Compliance Management

For yachts of 500 GT and above, we provide full International Safety Management (ISM) Code implementation and ongoing management. This includes Safety Management System development, internal audits, corrective action tracking, incident management, and preparation for flag state and external audits. Our focus is on operationally effective ISM that is embedded into day-to-day running rather than treated as a paper exercise.

For yachts below 500 GT, we implement voluntary safety management systems aligned with ISM principles. These frameworks strengthen onboard safety culture, demonstrate due diligence, and reduce operational risk without imposing unnecessary administrative burden.

 
Lightship™ ISM Fleet Reporting Dashboard
To support compliance, transparency, and decision-making, as well as record keeping and maintenance, Foreland Marine deploys Lightship, our proprietary fleet-wide ISM and fleet reporting dashboard.

Lightship provides owners and senior management with a clear, real-time view of fleet compliance and safety performance across all managed vessels. The platform consolidates ISM reporting, audit status, non-conformities, corrective actions, incident logs, and key compliance milestones into a single, accessible interface with modern automation.
